Christmas Program

We went to Jack's Christmas program at school (and our church) tonight! He did so well! He was so very excited about it. The problem was, when I went to drop him off at school this morning, I realized he thought it was time for the Christmas program right then. When he found out he had to go to school first and we'd be back later to see it, he broke down in tears. Poor guy. But he pulled through and he took his part in the program very seriously. (Though he had practiced his "Moo's" yesterday in the car, but somehow got switched to a donkey today. Good thing he took it all in stride and was great at saying "hee-ha!" instead.) He ended up front and center for their song, and next to his best buds--William, Blake, and Jack M.

The video is pretty rough on here but he's in the middle. The best part is when he claps
at the end with the audience, then they all take a bow!

He also requested wearing a tie this morning. We didn't have one but I've wanted to get him one anyway. Mom ran over to Target and found one for him and dropped it off so he could wear it. His teacher said he made sure it went over his donkey costume so everyone could see it.

We are so proud of him! It's been so wonderful seeing him come out of his shell this year. He's still cautious and shy but when he wants to, he can be more outgoing than we've ever seen before!

Meeting Santa 2012!

We got to meet Santa at Spring Creek Gardens today! Jack was so very excited to see Santa. I'm so proud that my sweet, shy boy did so well sitting on Santa's lap and talking to him. He told him that he would like a Polar Express for Christmas. Santa showed him the bells from Dasher's sleigh (in reference to the bell that Santa gave the boy in the Polar Express.)

We met the Ainsworth's there at 5 so we could hopefully avoid the crowds and see Santa right away. Well, after about 20 minutes, we realized that Santa was scheduled to start at 6, not 5pm, like we thought. By 5:30, Kadie and I decided to wait in line for Santa and let Edward and Hahn keep the boys entertained as long as possible. We were actually the second people to decide to wait in line for the half hour.

We lucked out because by 5:40, Santa appeared ringing his bells and saying "Ho! Ho! Ho!" and greeting the children nearby. Kadie and I both tried to call Edward and Hahn on our phones with no answer. I ran back to where we had left them and yelled, "Edward! Santa's here!!!" I'm pretty sure I announced Santa's presence to the entire gardens. The line quickly formed but luckily, the boys were there ready to go in time for their turn. We were in the car on our way out by 5:53! Woo hoo!!

Then we started fielding a few questions like: Where was Mrs. Claus? How will Santa come to our house without a chimney?

Baby Shower for Baby Number 2!

Kadie and Blair threw a great baby shower for me today--so many amazing details that added up to a spectacular party! The shower was at my mom's house and Sue brought a lot of party food as well. It also pays to have such a creative designer as a friend--Kadie designed the invitations as a voting theme (perfect for the week after the election!) Then she created "Baby Boy" and "Baby Girl" stickers so that everyone could cast their vote. She also made "I voted for Baby Wranosky" stickers and tied them to Pink and Blue stick candy for party favors. Also following the theme were the "Official Ballots" where everyone could vote on the details about the baby--birthday, weight, how much hair the baby will have, boy or girl, etc.

The party was decorated in pink and blue--pink and blue balloons, beautiful pink and blue hydrangeas, pink and blue cups, plates, and napkins. So many details that made me feel so special! We all painted onesies and bibs at the beginning of the shower.

Kadie also made adorable baby sock flower bouquets--a pink & purple version and a blue & white version. So adorable! I am so grateful for everyone that came to my shower and the wonderful baby clothes and goodies we received for our baby number 2!

Big Brother

Jack has officially started referring to himself as "big brother." It's adorable. He's so anxious for the baby to get here. We shared a smoothie yesterday and he tried it and said, "Mmmmmm...Big Brother likes the smoothie! Does baby like the smoothie?" (I tried to tell him baby likes whatever I eat at the moment but he still asks me all the time.)

Hoping this Helps!

I finally got an app on my iPhone to update my blog! It's become fewer and farther between my posts but I'd love to be posting bits and pieces of Jack's world as they happen.
He continues to amaze me and crack me up all the time. I love that he likes to try to make me laugh. He's constantly asking questions about the world and sometimes I have a hard time keeping up! He's still very shy but beginning to break out of his shell sometimes. I love seeing him talk to other kids on the playground. He generally refuses to pose for photos these days except for every once in a while!
He still likes to be a "baby kitty." Hence, this photo. He's posing as a cute baby kitty.

He also posed for this one when we were making dried apples. He decided he needed his googles because of the apple spray from the apple peeler/corer/slicer.
