Working from home

One hour left of working from home and Jack wants to be held...and I want to hold him. I broke out my free sling that I won from Pujbaby (pujbaby.com). I know it's on backwards because the fabric ended up facing in but that's ok. I took a photo to show how I can work on my computer and take care of Jack! This is our first try in the sling and it's pretty cool! He seems to like it so far. Now if it only had a built in bouncer...oh wait, that's me! ;)

Cooing and smiling!

Our Jack is cooing and smiling and it's so amazing that he just keeps getting cuter. I caught a little conversation this morning.

Houdini

So here's the story: We woke up this morning and noticed Jack was cooing and happy as could be in the corner of his bassinet. We sat there watching him and even took some video. It was adorable. Then I noticed/remembered something...Jack was dressed when we put him to sleep. Yes, in just a few hours he had worked his way out of his swaddle (blanket) AND out of his night gown.
Jack in his bassinet. Whew, finally out of those clothes.

Jack's right foot had managed to make it's way into his left sleeve.

Here's the culprit all dressed again. He looks pretty proud of himself.

Can't help myself

Just some more photos from our two month old photo session. I am amazed at how many different faces we get from him. He is so adorable, if I do say so myself. :)

Two Months Old

Jack has officially reached two months old, which is so hard to believe! He's begun to smile and coo. Definitely the most exciting development in the last month. He absolutely loves attention and loves to have conversations with us.

We went to the doctors office for his two month appointment and he was up to 12 pounds and 24 1/2 inches long. He's still in the 95th percentile for height. He is now the 55th percentile in weight and the 45th percentile in head circumference.

Jack's first Easter!

We had Jack's first Easter at my mom's house with Edward's parents and my mom and sister. We took many family photos between all of our cameras and these are the best that I happened to get on my camera. It was nice getting some family shots with Jack. Most of the photos we take are just of Jack and not all of us! We had a great day together and even got to play some Shanghai which I love to play!

Date Night!

Now that we are often awake at five in the morning, I have realized that 92.5 the Wolf does a 5 am 1st caller giveaway. You never know what they are giving away until you win. I've heard them give away a family four-pack to the circus, $50 gift certificate to the Trail Dust, and two tickets to the Mammoth Lacrosse game at the Pepsi Center in their private suite. The Thursday before Easter, Edward and I were both on our phones trying to win. On this particular day, they said they would take the first two callers. As I was feeding Jack we were re-dialing over and over again. Edward finally got through on his phone and passed it over to me just in time to hear the DJs answer and for Jack to start crying. Edward had to whisk him away to the other room as I accepted our gift. We were the second caller and won two tickets to the Mammoth game that Saturday night!

I was so excited to win. Needless to say, I got off the phone and said, "Well, I wish it had been a $50 gift certificate to Trail Dust...but at least it wasn't a family four-pack to the circus." Then, come to find out, the first caller got their pick--the gift certificate to Trail Dust or two tickets to the mammoth game! Oh well! It turned out to be a great date night for us--the first since Jack was born. Blair babysat at my mom's house (during one of my mom's game nights with friends).

We took the Lightrail from Lincoln & I-25 directly to the Pepsi Center. Then we picked up our tickets and went straight to the VIP floor. We even sat with one of the DJs and his family. It was a great night and very fun to get out on our own together. It was both our first Lacrosse game and we enjoyed figuring it all out. (They went into overtime but lost...oh well!)

Happy baby!

Jack has begun to smile! We are so excited to see him reacting to us. We caught him on video when Dad was playing with him tonight. It is SO exciting to see him smiling and just being a happy, cute baby!

Bath time!

Jack was completely adorable during his last bath (6 weeks old here). He put his arm on the sink faucet and was very interested in watching himself in the mirror. This was before the bath started and he was happy as a clam being naked. Once I started washing him, he did ok but it finally ended in crying. I know, baths are cruel.
