Night Out with Sean & Michelle

Our friends, Sean & Michelle, live in Plano, TX so we get to go see them for a dinner usually when we are in Dallas visiting Papa and Margie. This was our night out. We took Papa's '55 Chevy for a quick ride, then Sean & Michelle took us to Fireside Pies in a nice new area of Plano. The entire meal was wonderful and the "Salads to Share" was FABULOUS. We ate every last morsel on our plates. Then we walked down the street to a French cafe and sat outside with our fancy desserts (and wine!). It was such a fun night to share together, especially before their little girl shows up this September!

Edward the model

I had a big photo shoot at work last week. We were running short on people to model for it so I asked Edward if he would come in. We needed people having a great conversation while hanging out on a couch. Edward did great and we got a lot of fun photos. Needless to say, he says he prefers to be on the other side of the camera. :)

World Series Tickets

Luckily, I have a boss that understands if I need to leave work to try to get World Series tickets. Unfortunately, that wasn't enough and I was unsuccessful. But I had fun trying...at least it seems like it was fun looking back. Veronica was my World Series buddy, who was kind enough to take me to her house (since she lives in Loveland where I work) so we could try for tickets. We spent hours trying and didn't get anywhere. But we did take some photos to document our trials.

My cutie!

I woke up one morning to find these "I Love You" Q-tips on the counter in the bathroom. Definitely something that deserved a photo to remember. Thank you, my sweet husband!

Trip to D.C.

Edward and I have been lucky enough the last few years to volunteer for a Group Workcamps trip. My company sends us both to a camp location for a week. High School students spend the week serving people in need by doing home repairs & painting. Edward has been a Site Coach who travels to different work sites everyday to check in and give direction. I have been a Program Team Member. I travel to various work sites taking photos of the students, then helping with the nightly program. We have been able to tack on a quick "vacation" before camp and last year we got to tour Washington D.C. before driving to Oakland, MD for workcamp. (The last photo is of Edward during our free afternoon at camp in Oakland. When we are staff at camp, we are called the "Red Shirts" because we have to wear our red camp t-shirts all week long).

Good times :)

Mom found some of our old family videos from when we were kids. I uploaded them onto my computer and pulled together a clip to share. It's a wide range of a few birthdays, a few puppies, and some trips to the mountains. The quality isn't spectacular after all of the translation but they are still something to cherish. [Outtakes to come in the future. :) ]

I'm a blogger!

Here's the start to my own blog to keep people updated on the silly things of life. More to come. :)
